Alfonso Guilleard Soriano was born on January 7th, 1976 in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic.

He is married to Angelica with who he has three daughters Alisis, Angeline and Alisha and three sons Allen, Angel and Alfonso Ju.

He made his debut for the New York Yankees on September 14th, 1999.

He has played for the Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers, and Washington Nationals in Major League Baseball while in Nippon Professional Baseball for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp.

The Yankees traded Soriano to the Rangers after the 2003 season and the Rangers traded Soriano to the Nationals after the 2005 season. He signed a contract with the Chicago Cubs before the 2007 season. He was then traded to the New York Yankees on July 26th, 2013.

Soriano has been seven times MLB All-Star (2002-2008), four times Silver Slugger Award (2002, 2004-2006), twice World Series champion (1999-2000), MLB All Star Game MVP (2004), American League Stolen Base Leader (2002), 40-40 club (2006).
